Our next face to face quarterly meeting will be held at the UCLA
Luskin Conference Center and Hotel (on the UCLA campus), 6:00 – 8:00 PM, January 15th, hosted by Dr. Paul Vespa and Dr. Vadim Gudzenko (Treasurer). The dinner symposium will feature Dr. Tim Morris (UCSD), our special guest speaker, on the topic, “Nasal High Flow Therapy in the Critical Care Setting.” The agenda will also feature a short business meeting and discussion of Chapter goals for 2019. The evening is generously sponsored by Fisher & Paykel Healthcare (Irvine, CA). More details to follow as the meeting approaches. Attendance will be capped at about 50, so RSVP early (first come, first served). If you are interested in attending or need more information, please contact Monica Morales at [email protected].

48th Annual Critical Care Congress, San Diego

Chapter business meeting and social at 48th Annual Critical Care Congress, San Diego: The annual business meeting of the Chapter will be held in Grand Ballroom E, Omni Hotel, Sunday, February 17, 2019, 3:00 – 4:00 PM. We’ve contacted our sister Chapter, the Northern California Chapter, to identify a common time to socialize and catch up
with old (and new) friends, perhaps at the end of our business meeting (similar to the joint event we held at last year’s Congress). Stay tuned!

Chapter Announcement

Chapter Web Page

We have lots of content, a reserved URL (sccmsocal.org), and now need help from someone with expertise in web design and publishing. We’ve gotten a bid from a pro ($4,000!) but are hopeful that we can create our internet and social media presence at a much lower cost. Suggestions? And, we welcome your contributions for web content. Please send us bios, photos, research projects, activities, or any other ICU related material from your centers that you would like to share on the site (permission from your institution may be required…please check).
